Registered Psychotherapist
Hi, I’m Noor (she/they). As a Registered Psychotherapist who is queer, BIPOC, and neurodivergent, I recognize the unique struggles of living in an oppressive society. My practice specializes in working with marginalized individuals who are navigating concerns such as intergenerational trauma, interpersonal difficulties, neurodivergence, etc. With a deep understanding of the intersectionality of identity and mental health, I strive to empower those who have been marginalized. I aim to provide you with a safe and comfortable space where we can collaborate towards your goals for healing and growth. I practice psychotherapy from a person-centered, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive lens. It’s crucial to me that I meet you where you are at and support you in nurturing your growth as a human being.
As per my therapeutic practice, I utilize an eclectic/integrative approach which draws from various modalities such as; Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Humanistic Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy & Internal Family Systems. Additionally, I also incorporate insights from Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Theory.
I invite you to reach out for a free consultation if you have any questions or would like to explore how we can collaborate. My goal is to support you in your journey towards healing and growth however I can.

Hi! I’m XT (they/them); I’m the Founder and Clinical Director of Rainbow Counselling. I’m a white settler of mixed Western European & South American descent. I’m queer, nonbinary & neurodivergent w/ lived experience as someone healing from CPTSD. My upbringing was informed by mixed cultural identities & traditions. I care deeply about how the impacts of colonization, immigration & displacement impact our mental health & trauma histories.
I enjoy working with queer + trans, racialized, disabled & neurodivergent community & work best with those looking to work through complex trauma, relational wounds & multiple diagnoses. My approach is relational, affirming, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, & centers your lived experience.
My primary approaches to therapy draw from IFS, EMDR & Somatic Therapy. I truly believe trauma healing is possible and strive to create a therapeutic space where that can happen. In our space together we might laugh, swear, & shed a tear or two. Consent is the basis of my work, and I find therapy the most valuable when you feel you have choice in where we go, in our space together.

Registered Psychotherapist
I work primarily with couples and multiple-partner relationships who feel stuck in painful patterns of repeating the same arguments, feeling disconnected, navigating infidelity, communication breakdowns, intimacy concerns, parenting stress, or the difficult transitions of separation and divorce. I am passionate about supporting clients who are queer, trans, or who otherwise do not find themselves represented in mainstream therapy. All of my work is informed by feminist and harm reduction principles.
I also support individuals navigating gender and sexuality exploration, trauma, and relational concerns. I believe healing and growth happen in connection - with ourselves, with others, and with the parts of us longing to be understood. I integrate person-centred therapy, parts work, coherence therapy, and somatic approaches in our work together.
My approach aims to help partners and individuals find more balance and harmony in their lives by working with the patterns and behaviours shaping how they relate to themselves and others.

Hi! My name is Ellis and I’m the Office Manager at Rainbow Counselling. I’m a white settler of mixed Western European and Ashkenazi Jewish descent, currently living on the territory of the Anishinaabe Peoples in Barrie, Ontario. I grew up on Arapahoe territory in Boulder, Colorado, U.S., where I had the privilege of building a deep love for the peaks and valleys of the Rocky Mountains. Although I’m far from those mountains now, my upbringing in the Rockies continues to inform the way I root in my relationship to the land as a part of the ongoing anti-colonial struggle on Turtle Island, in Palestine, and throughout the world.
With an educational background in Social Justice Education and over 12 years working in 2SLGBTQIA+ community, I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my role at Rainbow Counselling. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside community to build supportive programs for 2SLGBTQIA+ folks in several different counties across BC and Ontario, facilitating support and social groups for Queer and Trans folks of all ages, and managing the wonderful teams that make this work happen on the ground. My favourite part of this work has been building relationships with all of the amazing 2SLGBTQIA+ community members I’ve met along the way, and I’m especially inspired by the creativity, genius, and tenacity of Queer and Trans youth as they find new ways to thrive amidst an oppressive political and social climate.
The serious lack of 2SLGBTQIA+-affirming mental health supports in the many communities I’ve worked in is what sparked my interest in working with Rainbow Counselling, and I’m thrilled to be able to provide the managerial support the clinic team needs to do their best work. I’m always here to answer questions and provide resources, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you would like more information about who we are, what we do, and how you can get connected.

Hi, I’m Kristi (they/them)!
Our experiences are shaped by the weight of the systems that constrain us, which is daunting to bear alone. My approach to therapy is relational, non-pathologizing, neurodiversity and 2SLGBTQ+ affirming, trauma- and structurally informed. I am a queer non-binary, disabled, and neurodivergent white settler with over 10 years of combined experience as a therapist and community-based social worker.
I support folks from varied social, cultural and economic backgrounds navigate an array of topics like self-exploration, gender and sexuality, grief and loss, complex trauma, life transitions of all kinds, neurodivergence, relational wounds, social inequities, disability, substance use and beyond. I am deeply committed to working alongside queer, trans, disabled, and/or neurodivergent humans as well as those experiencing intense or stigmatized emotional experiences (i.e., C-PTSD, OCD, anxiety, depression, dissociation, suicidality, etc.).
I believe that healing is a relational process. Together, we can co-construct an intentional, safe and compassionate space that explores the complexities of life with curiosity; including the ups, downs and in-betweens. I combine techniques from different therapy styles and theoretical frameworks to suit your unique needs while sprinkling creativity, humour and playfulness into the process. Specifically, I may draw from EMDR, ERP, DBT, attachment-focused and somatic approaches while also honouring your inner wisdom, lived experiences, capacity and resources.
My practice is rooted in queer, abolitionist, and anti-colonial thought as well as the principles guiding body neutrality, collective liberation, harm reduction and disability justice.

About me
I offer a space where clients can get to know themselves and explore their history, identity, culture, and self-expression. I love working with clients who are queer and neurodivergent, parents and caregivers of queer children, and people navigating existential, spiritual, and religious tensions.
I help clients build self-trust with:
- executive functioning under stress, sensory barriers, and burnout
- rural and urban queer life, dating, and belonging
- drag, kink, and other forms of self-expression
- gender exploration and transition
- religious and spiritual trauma, deconstruction, and reconnection
- parenting and supporting queer/trans folks
Therapy with me uses:
- parts work and art to express complicated ideas and feelings
- mindfulness to practice staying present during hard conversations and discomfort
- body-focused strategies to listen to the body and give it what it needs
- narrative and relational-cultural therapies to tell more compassionate stories and think of problems as separate from us
Clients who work with me use the space to organize their lives, tell dark jokes, and figure out where they are, where they want to go next, and how to get there.
If this sounds like a good fit, reach out for a free consultation and we can go from there!

About Me
Hi, I’m Kate. I specialize in supporting clients to reclaim their lives from past wounds and (re)build relationships with their bodies and nervous systems. I offer a compassionate space, rooted in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive practice. Clients I work with identify as 2SLGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, artists and creatives, and caregivers.
My Approach
Coming from a creative background, I’m especially drawn to story and to helping people reshape the narratives that no longer serve them into ones that support wellness and empowerment.
Depending on what’s useful for you, our work together might draw on cognitive behavioural, solution-focused, narrative, or somatic-informed approaches.
Client Concerns
- relationship stress,
- life transitions (expected and unexpected),
- compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma,
- chronic pain and illness,
- trauma,
- anxiety and stress,
- low self-esteem, isolation and loneliness,
- grief and bereavement.
What to Expect
Depending on your needs and goals, some sessions focus on developing skills to support emotional regulation, cognitive reframing, and boundary development. Others go deeper into self-reflection, working through the patterns and behaviours that get in the way of the life you want. Together, we explore how past and current experiences shape the way you see yourself and relate to others, at a pace that feels right for you. I work with you to achieve greater self-awareness, steadier relationships, and a stronger sense of agency in your life.
If you’re ready for something to change, I invite you to book a free consultation. Let’s see if working together feels like the right next step.

Registered Psychotherapist
Hi, I’m Klaasje (sounds like Klasha). I support neurodivergent and 2SLGBTQIA+folks with anxiety, depression, body image and eating concerns, grief, and stress in an affirmative, compassionate and trauma-informed lens.
Drawing upon transpersonal, existential and mindfulness therapies, I help clients slow down, attend to their real needs, and connect with their authentic self. I guide clients through a deep process of coming back to themselves. I have seen that when we feel separated from our most true and authentic selves, that is when symptoms such as anxiety, depression, disordered eating or stress pop up. These symptoms are not “bad”, but they are often signs of something deeper within us that is asking to be listened to. When we begin to learn how to listen to ourselves on a deeper level, that is when healing has the space to begin to occur.
If you have more questions or feel like this process might be a good fit for you, reach out and let’s set up a time to connect! I am always happy to spend time going over what working with me might look like and see if it feels right for you.
